I am a student of STI College Baguio, and I just want to share my experience for anyone considering enrolling here: Don’t. Being a student in this school has been incredibly stressful and problematic. The administration doesn’t understand boundaries and often behaves unprofessionally. When we asked an instructor to reconsider our grades and give us a fair chance, the higher-ups offered no help. They’ll claim they’ll assist you, but they won’t follow through. The principal yells at students, and the admissions office doesn’t take concerns seriously. It’s frustrating and disheartening. You’ll see their Facebook page constantly hiring new teachers because this school has major internal issues. Many staff members, including some of my favorite teachers, have resigned because of conflicts created by senior faculty members. What’s worse is that the most competent and intelligent teachers are the ones leaving. Despite working hard and aiming for academic excellence, it feels like the system is designed to pull you down. They barely teach and mostly rely on giving out handouts. Beyond that, they don’t care about students’ concerns and will even label you as “inconsiderate.” A teacher from my Grade 11 years confided in me that they’re still being held back from progressing due to false accusations from the faculty. It’s frustrating to see such unprofessionalism and baseless drama within the institution. If you’re looking for a school in Baguio, please find another option. I do NOT recommend STI College Baguio.
the sti should be graded more about performance, they should not be based on the exam. 50% exam?!!!! 20% quiz? 20% performances 10% attendance
There are unprofessional teachers and irresponsible students. All STI campuses has low ratings. I regret spending my days here.
Sti Baguio, grabe disappointed kami dahil ung teacher ng CPAR and immersion ndi nagtuturo, magbibigay ng andami daming activities sa ELMS sa last week ng semester daw un robot ba kami.!!! Magagalit pa kapag magpapatulong kami busy daw kasi sya.
It's just bad. The activities here puts too much stress on students. Mabagal sila mag-announce ng mga events or anything na school-related. Minsan sinisingit nila yung events. It's hard to balance academics and the events in this school because after you work your part in the event, you don't have time for your academics—you're already exhausted. And the scheduling is bad too. You have to work on some important activities such as events, defense, etc etc., THEN have to take an exam the next day. They preach about time management but can the students do with all these works pile up to them? Wala nang free time mga students to relax and unwind from all these because may proproblemahin pa sunod. Nababaliwala na yung academics kaka-event ng school. I don't recommend this to anyone. Please stay away from here.
Former shs student at STI College Lipa and the DISCRIMINATION ON HUMSS STUDENT IS HORRIBLE af. The admin and principal discriminates us in front of the whole school. The staffs are not very friendly, and some teachers don't even attend class. IT’S OVERCROWDED IN THE HALLWAYS AND CANTEEN. Aircons are broken or smelly. TOO MANY GROUP ACTIVITIES and the teachers won't even do a thing to help you if you complained about your groupmates.
First of all, the grading system sucks. When you get a grade of 85 and below for even just 1 semester, I think , even though your average is 90 and above you're still not qualified to be an honor student. I wish they could change that because it makes some sti students to like give up and stop trying. Also, the teachers, for example is our teacher in FABM, we don't learn anything from her, and if we tell her that we don't understand what she was teaching, she would just look at us and smile, like what the heck. Also, we had a hard time with our practical research because our teacher don't attend in our class and just tells us to do this and that. Addition to that, we were asked to pay 650 for an event. When it was first announced, they said that it was voluntary. I didn't want to go so I didn't pay. Months after that they then told us that everyone was required to pay as it was part of our tuition fee. So the day before the event, they handed the tickets and kits but they said they will prioritize the ones who paid, so me and my friend waited but then got tired because we were waiting 1pm till 5pm so we didn't get our tickets and kits. The next day, event day, they gave us ONLY the tickets but there was no kits, we asked a teacher about it and they said "out of stock". I think it's unfair paying for all of that justto receive a ticket and the event sucks, the speaker was so loud that we couldn't hear a thing, if that makes sense. Anyways, WORST SCHOOL EVER.
From STI College Baguio, TOPER (Tourism Operations) student…. All instructors here masyadong mataas yung standard tas ung iba hindi nagtuturo especially sa Practical Research compare sa other schools na tinuturo pati manuscript and magbibigay ng example per part of Research Manuscript. Too much workloads that is good for 5 months in one week. The learning website Bulok! Deadlines in one hour. Nagpapadagdag ng school Fee like no deduction sa tuition fee. Gastos mo sarili mo sa mga events. The worst pa is yung students dito masyadong toxic and napaka unacceptable sa akin yung pagiging competitive nila, parang sila na mismo nagpapabagsak sa ibang classmate nila as in nangbebetray para lang maging top 1. May Remidial Fee here samantalang sa University na pinasukan ko free na free. Bulok tomg school na toh. Mag-University na lang kayo kahit Highschool pa.
I moved to STI because a mother of a schoolmate told me and my mother about it. It seems that they were fooled as well. What made me so excited to enroll here is the cleanliness of the facility compared to my previous school, the elevators, and the fact that I won't need to carry multiple books to class anymore since they provide online modules. I was also told that they had internet on campus. But boy, I soon realized that I was just overhyping. First of all, their internet is unaccessible. Which at first seemed fine to me, until the teachers started going, “Just go ask your classmates to let you connect to their hotspots.” or “Just take a picture of your classmate's phone who has mobile data because they have access to the activity.” Seriously? So inconsiderate. What makes this worse is that STI is a "progressive" school. They are openly into these equality stuff, which I'm not really against. So, should I call them "classists" now? Really, I don't have the money to constantly buy mobile data. Especially when STI's tuition fee is so expensive. Added to that is the amount of money I spend on their performance tasks, which are so extra. I mean, very extra. This is only the first part of my comment.
Overall experience was bad. I can 100 percent relate to the reviews here. I do not recommend.
