Thanks to your ranking grade and Congz to PIASS As a Higher learning Institution PIASS is growing at a high increasing rate Academically, it has three faculties operating within normal standards established by Higher education Council (HEC) and approved by UNESCO; there is Faculty of THEOLOGY, faculty of EDUCATION and faculty of DEVELOPMENT STUDIES. Recently, it signed agreement with BAMBERG UNIVERSITY and is launching a master's program in EDUCATION QUALITY (IMPEQ); Socially, PIASS has signed a MoU with different district of RWANDA for a socio-economic aspects where the participation in community work known as UMUGANDA, Construction of Houses to 1994 Genocide survivals, and providing scholarships to 1994 Genocide survivals; Scientific week is held annually with different topics, solution oriented to the community needs. A HITIMANA scholarship fund is launched to enhance a teritial education to vulnerable citizens for RWANDA; and regionally PIASS granted scholarships for international students from BURUNDI, DRC in faculty of development studies, peace and conflict management department in order to help people from those countries affected by long civil wars for reconciliation A rapid internet connection is installed using a fiber optic with a capacity of 100MB, wireless around the campus and in the environing area is provided Economically, PIASS provides accommodation including housing, insurance to its students, medical insurance to its staff (academic and administrative is provided), with those MoU with different institutions , PIASS is focusing on strengthening its relation by opening new branches around the country; by now a RUBENGERA (in western province of RWANDA) is now installed waiting the permission of HCE to start. Buildings, adequate furniture, and computers are available to everyone in PIASS community, Projects of upgrading our library is now accepted is being launched early september 2014 Pros: intellectually stimulating, collaborative atmosphere, great climate, beautiful campus, low cost of living, friendly colleagues Cons: long work hours I would recommend to a friend! |
