fake university! beware! anyone familiar with any university knows how they love to fluff their feathers. they are businesses after all and they need workers to exploit, students to deceive. but this one takes the cake! if you struggle to find anything more than one negative review of an institution and the internet is filled with rosy blogs about it, that's probably because there's a lot of censorship and manipulation going on. if its too good to be true, it probably is. beware! dont work here, don't study here. despite all the promises they give you. if you're not from this country, and even if you are, there's nothing in kayseri that's worth sacrificing your time for. come to kayseri and go to kapadokya, buy some manti and pastirma. leave as fast as you can. I would NOT recommend to a friend. |

Bully Head of the School of Languages I taught there from 2012-2014. Things may have changed, but the bully British boss hasn’t. As an EFL teacher, if you can keep your head down, not care about educational goals (no matter how often the boss solicits input), ignore incompetent colleagues and not argue or gossip with anyone, this may be an ideal position. As usual overseas, there is no policy, honesty or transparency when problems arise. At 63, I was fed up bowing in homage to incompetent bosses. I challenged the one here - and got suspended - with no details, no due process, no written information, no time limit. Just left hanging in the wind, awaiting their decision. After three months, I finally left. Yes, classes are small, facilities are good (although the cafeteria was terrible) and usually the students are hard-working. But how my direct supervisor and the administration at AGU handled problems was total dictatorship. Since the administrators couldn't even handle the English supervisor, how can they handle anyone else? And yes, I'd like to know how the two students who were video-taped putting us ISIS posters were handled....
