Very high first year fees for foriegn students I am from south africa. I went onto the anna college website and applied for admittabce. I was accepted and. Was then referred to an agent in south africa. I was shocked when the agent sent the fee structure. The fees just for the first year tutions is 3 times more than the fee for first year on anna website. Someone is benefiting from exploiting foriegn students. This is extremely unethical and news of this is very quicklyspreadibg to all south africas who want to study in maurituis. I would NOT recommend to a friend. |

Very nice Medical college Anna Medical College and Research Centre, Mauritius is undoubtedly the best medical college in Mauritius. It's in the campus of Civil Hospital, You'll be exposed to infinite number of cases for you to build your knowledge and experience and be the best you can be out there. The library here is one of the best in the state providing you with all the material you might need. The faculty is really good and very supportive. When it comes to campus infrastructure and some facilities like canteen etc. the college may lag behind but it's worth it Would this course fetch a good job? MBBS is a course that would fetch you a job without a doubt. India needs as many doctors as it can get. Faculty? Very knowledgeable. They are really supportive if you approach them with your problems on your own. They won't be running around you asking if you have any problems or need any help like in some private colleges. Facilities on your campus Okayish as I've mentioned in my review. AMCRC is a pricate college which is attached to a general hospital so it may not provide you with the facilities and amenities that you want in your college but that's part and parcel of learning here. AMCRC is the first college to be filled during admission process so the creme de la creme of the students are here. So the enthusiasm to study and learn is great here. Extra-curriculars BJ Beats, the annual mega fest of AMCRC is so much fun and gives you an awesome platform to showcase your talent and athletic abilities. Other then this there is not much to write about here cuz being a medical student doesn't leave you with much time. I would recommend to a friend! |

Absolute shocking False advertising, awful conditions in the hostels, disrespectful management, I would not rate this a one star, don't waste your time paying that much money on such a bs time. University is not what it seems, old tradition ways, if you want to study medicine, find somewhere else found a cockroach in my samba! I would NOT recommend to a friend. |

The college is not properly recognised and not accredited, the website is far from what the actual college turns out to be. Most of the professors are incompetent. Positively Challenging, Worthy investment, Motivational, Prestigious I have been at AMC since April 2013. Being a new institute at that time, I certainly had my doubts. Now in 2017 and looking foward towards the last months to obtaining my MBBS degree at AMC, Mauritius, I am certainly without a doubt thankful to have been provided with the opportunity to study at such an illustrious institution. I have no regrets whatsoever and thoroughly enjoyed being an integral part of the growth of the institution. We have produced our first batch of MBBS Graduates at the beginning of this year and they are well on the way to becoming remarkable medical practioners as well as model citizens of society and all gratitude is due to the extensive training and grooming by the faculty and staff at Anna Medical College, Mauritius. The faculty are stupendous and are of a highly noble character. With extensive training and teaching under the belt, the knowledge imparted to us by them is a commodity of highest value!! They work tirelessly to ensure that each and every concept is drilled into us theoretically and we are able to elicit the knowledge in the clinical setup. Our faculty have an immense passion and their exhuberant energy combined with marvellous intelligence is certainly an inspiration to excel in the field of medicine. As with any college, there are certain flaws. But these are definetly outnumbered by the positives outlined in my review. Personally for me, it's just really hard adapting to the indian cuisine and the location where facilities are not all present but basics are covered. At AMC, you will always feel part of the family, with every student getting individual assistance and homely care which is crucial especially if you are a student from abroad such as myself. Good Istitute AMCRC (ANNA MEDICAL COLLEGE & RESEARCH CENTER) is one of the best well known medical college present in Mauritius. It has amazing teaching facility. With well and hygienic maintenance. Academic programmers are amazing and admissions are avoiding to the rank of CET. Telling about other extra circular programmers it is just amazing guys. Anna Medical College and Research Centre It gives me great pleasure to write a review about my own college, Anna Medical College and Research Center, Mauritius. It is an institution which is affliated to the university of technology The college has well equipped and spacious laboratories. The college boasts of individual attention and numerous extra - curricular opportunities provided to the students. It has a campus with a huge complex which is located in the heart of the city ensuring easy access to the nearby hospitals which students visit during their clinical postings. The classes for 1st year during which pre-clinical subjects are taught are conducted away from main campus in a place far off from the noisy environment of the city.The college also provides excellent hostel facilities for its students. The college boasts of its students who come out with excellent performances in various fields. But the true credit goes to its outstanding faculty. As a student I feel proud to be studying in this college. The yearly culturals, dance competitions, parties, socials and many more programmes conducted for the students are simply awesome. Anna Medical College and Research Centre This is my last year at our college, Anna Medical College and Research Centre Mauritius. It was my dream to get a chance to study in this college. It is the best medical college in Mauritius.. Even some of the facilities are even better in other college. But the biggest advantage of our college is not only it's reputation but also the fact that our college is good at every aspect, be it studying or future scopes or extra curricular activities. Senior-Junior bonding is the best among the medical colleges of Mauritius. Still now I believe AMCRC is the only college in Mauritius.which can represent Mauritius as one of the best MBBS Institutes. Would this course fetch a good job? yes. absolutely. but you have to work hard for furthering your career as in every other colleges How are the students like? Some are very studious. I Recommend Anna Medical College I studied AMCRC Mauritius here for a period of 4 years, this was home to me. stayed at private hostels, average accommodation, no luxuries here. People come from all over india to study here and this is ranked as the best in Mauritius. First year to final year some departments are too good Other departments are only with average staff quality. Microbiology staff need improvement and pro active participation in teaching. You will gain a lot of hands on experience here, if you know how to use all the resources. Limited support for exams because there is no guidance from seniors. Very limited acedemic CV building up programs are conducted here and there is no guidance too like how they do in private colleges. They need improvement on that part, but I feel students who study here can make it happen. I believe AMCRC is the only college in Mauritius.which can represent Mauritius as one of the best MBBS Institutes. Good College Anna medical college is a wonderful place to study medicine and become a doctor with awesome skills. The faculty is very supportive. There are a lot of opportunities for the research loving students as well, an amazing library, the hostels are decent, very nice and helpful seniors and no ragging. I applied to this college in order to get place for medicine and i did succeed, BUT thankfully I was informed before beginning my studies, by someone in Mauritius, that this college is a deceptive, money-making institute, with no proper structure. The administration lacks accountability, and only has an interest in making money. Once your money has been taken, they don't give it back unless you threaten legal action, so be cautious. Anna Medical Lies and Fraud and Deceipt, pls read The College is new so the staff really is uncoordinated and unprofessional. They all are from India - so in Mauritius they are making double the Rupees so they prefer to pocket the money instead of spend on college. 1. When you speak to an agent, please write down everything in writing, NO Verbal - The Admissions Agent like Santosh in Delhi - does not care nor does he return calls after the student is admitted. 2. The college charges some Indian student 20 Laks for all inclusive hostel, food, transport, and some 34 Laks and others from other country $70,000 onwards, if they see you are a sucker, they will cheat you. 3. The college is in the middle of a village where it rains constantly, and the Hospital is 16 km away, so if you don't live in Hostel, the college does not provide transport from college to hostel. So that is more expense on parents about Rs1,000 INR per month. 4. The food in Mauritius is very expensive, so look at expenses as Rs 5000 INR. The college does feeds students very bad food - they first tell there is continental and indian, all Lies. The faculty and staff seems to be getting good food since they all are getting fat and probably health issues later. 5. The student does not have health care in college, Ironic, this is a medical college and noone cares if a student is sick. The DEAN has huge office and does nothing and does not care about students, has stupid rules in college. NO clubs, no activities. 6. The College hours are very long from 8:30 am - 4:30 Monday - Saturday - in India it is not that long. Sunday all shops close at 1 pm. No timefor bank, grocery, shopping, Go to embassy. REnew Visa, Passport, Etc. 7. College takes bribes for attendance for passing exams. 8. Anna medical is a punishment to be in. Anna medical college is the worst institution one may ever come across. The above mentioned comments are enough to give a brief idea that this is a cheap, fake and fraud college set up just for making money out if people. The students in d college includes of mainly INDIANS and South Africans. Indian come here because of intense corrupted and piracy by private medical colleges in India and South Africans face other problems there hence opt for Anna which is lost in some village in mauritius. The faculty is good. That is the only good point apart from this 1) the campus is a small building in a remote village which is not having enough facility for a course like MBBS 2) the administration is full of indians who just want to make money out of students These people can charge money (fee, fine , penalty) in any form 3) the higher management (dean and the senior in charges) these are the most useless people of the campus who just come here to make money and have a good time in mauritius and if objected they straight away target the student by deleting there name from the exams or failing the student intentionally because they want everything to be in their order. If u think that a student who is good in studies might not face this then they manipulate the student by lowering his/her attendance which is important to write exams. 4) the college is not having proper transport facilities also. They have hired local Mauritians who drive for the college. 5) hostel services are like a punishment. Hostels are very untidy and small and in remote areas which are miles away from the college without proper food. The amount of food they send is never adequate and the condition of food is awfull. 6) college administration will try their level best to interfere into the personal matters of students and is partial towards a specific community which better not be revealed here. They will never take any action for benefit of students. Not good for Students and staff People from India has opened this Anna Medical college and promised students unrealistic living situations. Long hours for students and staff;Saturday education is supposed to be 1/2 day, but these people are forcing all day long classes. The college is more interested in controlling students lives, instead of improving infrustructure and student life. This place is not safe and located in a very remote place. Faculty and Administration is SELFISH & TERRIBLE I would not recommend any person applying for a College run by INDIANS in Mauritius. DY Patil has been in the news and cheating people. Anna Medical is now doing the same. They lured students into the college promising hostel, NRI living conditions, NRI food, and really they got nothing. The college is a small building in the middle of a Sugar Cane field. The student hostel has rats, cockroaches, lizards, and very unclean. What is stated on the anna medical college website, is all LIES. There is no GYM, There is no Library, there is no Hostel life. There is no Canteen. It is an aweful place to live The Faculty does NOT care about the students. They do not listen to the student needs, The professors humiliate some students during exams and in class. They DO NOT Care once you are in and keep changing their academic yearly schedule. This does not allow student to study properly.
